Before the Flood

Snapped this one in the carpark at Happy Valley, which has had some nice walls lately. Just don't hit those lefts too far out into the channel. It's getting murky and lurky out there from all of the rain and run off from the Glasshouse Mountains. There have been quite a few sharks up this part of the country - great whites that don't normally like our warm summer waters.

Managed to snap up some great music bargains in my summer travels including Bobby Zimmerman's live classic double album Before the Flood, recorded in 1974 around the same time Brinetopia had one of it's biggest floods in recorded history.

And now the holiday is over and it's back to work - wearing shoes, commuting, iPods and the office.

Happy New Year Sam

Test shot for our new broadband link thing. One of Sam. Keep running and riding (sober) and bangin' those piano keys. I'm waiting for some melody for my next surf video - something cruizey and dreamy. Think Christoful the long suffering bear flying through the air n slo mo.

Summertime = Chill Time

It's been a great run of waves and rain lately. Big clouds, big tides and long walls of brine.
The rain and the summer heat have made everything grow in fast motion. The critters around here are loving it. The older crew tell me that when you see cows sitting down in the paddock it means rain is coming. Urban myth? Well the ants are going crazy moving their ant freight to higher ground in our wooden house. Better fire up the motor mower (again).
