Escape

Surfing mate who works at an exclusive school told me this story. He was at a very long and very boring annual address by the board of directors in a large auditorium. when a few rows in front, he noticed people starting to giggle. The giggle seemed to snake its way towards him. It turned out that one very conservative looking chap had written the following note which was being passed along the rows and was causing a stir during an otherwise tedious and coma-inducing presentation:
"Am thinking of tunneling out. Who's with me?"
Plan on tunneling out myself tomorrow, so there will be no Monday post. Maybe Tuesday. Depends how far I get before Responsibility calls me back.

The Blurred Crusade

Weekend was a blur - a bluured crusade for light, shadow, sun and water.
And sound. Sound that evokes and emotes and lifts, like that of the band The Church..

Jaca-moff

The days are now longer than the nights and already we have had the first thunderstorms of the season as the jacaranda trees grow their annual veil of purple. I drag a sharp object across my face to remove yesterday's bristles and enclose my ten toes away from the light and any opportunity of getting wet, yet smile as I recall that session at Moffatt's.

Holga x Jacaranda

I have this little plastic fantastic camera that cost less than $100 AU. No light meter. No auto focus. No glass. Just plastic and a metal spring to open the shutter. It sweeps light onto film, in a fairly erratic and unpredictable manner. Like life - unpredictable  but often full of pleasant surprises.
